Property Owners,
At the waterboard meeting on Monday evening Jim Bell and Rick Matlock were re- elected to the board. They were the only two names submitted for consideration. Again, this year Mark Chamberlain and I were elected as the only officers.
Some of you know that I have been involved with both the Civic Association and the Water Corporation since 1989 and have given my best to improving our community. My current term ends in May of 2025, and I will not enter my name for re-election consideration.
As homeowners we own our utilities, and the current management structure requires volunteers to keep the systems operating. In the past few years interest in helping manage our utilities has decreased considerably to the point that it appears that no one cares about them.
Since we have never had to consider the future of our systems without our ownership and management, I recommend that a community meeting be held to discuss our options and develop a plan for going forward as soon as possible. The repercussions of inaction could be severe, and all owners need to be aware.
